About Shift Physical Therapy
Shift Physical Therapy was established as a model to deliver comprehensive physical therapy care as a walk-alongside empowerment of movement health. Shift was established in 2020 during the height of the pandemic; this timing wasn’t by design but certainly was influenced by the deep need in our community to preserve access to essential physical therapy services during times of unprecedented health concerns. As such, Shift’s underpinnings are rooted in characteristics of flexibility, adaptability, resilience and out-of-the-box innovation. Shift Physical Therapy is designed from the ground up to support the therapeutic relationship of therapist and client, and through that alliance, empower ownership of outcomes, healing and optimal movement health across the lifespan.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
I love to learn. My friends affectionately tease me for how I like to “geek out on good information!” (That quote is pulled straight from a recent text!). Joking aside, having a curious and open mind to learning is an essential tool I employ for staying at the forefront of a rapidly evolving healthcare profession. I regularly return to my alma mater in St. Louis to re-energize in the academia setting and I love working with students of physical therapy. I routinely analyze and synthesize scientific literature to guide my work, and I typically engage in 2-3x the amount of continuing education required for license renewal by the State of Colorado! Rigorous and high quality ongoing professional development is built in as a keystone of Shift PT’s vibrant and value-based care model.

About Me:
I’m nourished by spending quality time with my husband, 2 kids, and our family hound. We love getting into the great outdoors of my native state of Colorado, as well as traveling and connecting with our extended family near and far. I was a competitive swimmer growing up, and still love all things water, the meditative rhythm of swimming laps and the deep inner-calm of a mountain lake. I fill up daily with Centering Prayer and mindfulness based meditation practice, and cherish my weekly Centering Prayer group and yearly solitude retreats for deeper refuels. I’m filled with gratitude for my family, friends, colleagues, and patients that have walked alongside me throughout my life journey.
“Through her research and expertise, Lisa was able to determine the cause of my unusual condition. She's thorough in her analysis of the situation and is methodical in her care plan. She communicates well throughout the entire time of treatment. I've been truly blessed to have her in my life!”
